Kidi congratulates Diana Hamilton on VGMA Artiste of the Year win

Vida Essel-LampteyGhanaian high-life and afrobeats singer-songwriter, Dennis Nana Dwamena, popularly referred to as Kidi has congratulated the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year winner, Ms Diana Hamilton on her win last night.
Kidi was Ms Hamilton’s closest contender for the prestigious award and was tipped by many industry players to carry the day having worked extremely hard in the year under review.
The ‘Say Cheese’ hit maker also won four of the awards on the night making him at par with Ms Hamilton who also won four awards including the ultimate Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year.
Kidi won Best Highlife Song , Best Afrobeat Song, Best Afrobeat Artiste and EP of the Year.
Reacting to Ms Hamilton’s win in a twitter post sighted by GhanaPlus.com on Sunday, June 27, Kidi thank God, Ghana and send huge congratulations to her on her win.
The sugar daddy in Ghana’s music industry wrote “To God be the Glory. Thank you Ghana. Huge congrats Aunty Diana”

Diana Hamilton beat, Sarkodie, Kidi, Kuame Eugene, Adina and Medikal to win VGMA Artiste of the Year
Gospel musician, Diana Hamilton on Saturday, June 27 beat five others shortlisted for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Award Artiste of the Year category to take home the award.
Her contenders were, Vodafone Ghana Music Award “Artiste of the Decade” and BET winner, Sarkodie, 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Award Artiste of the Year, Kuame Eugene, multiple-award winners, Kidi, Adina and Medikal.
Her main contender on the night was high-life and afrobeats singer-songwriter and Lynx Entertainment, MadeInENY, Empire signee, Kidi.
