Popular Ghanaian dance –hall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, Shatta Wale has launched his most talked about commercial ride app and transport service, Shaxi in Accra.

The initiative he said is to help provide job for the teaming unemployed youth in the country.

In a twitter post sighted by GhanaPlus.com, the celebrated musician said the project was born out of his desire to create sustainable business opportunities for the young people of the country.

He described the project as ‘Ghanaian project’ and call for the support of all Ghanaians to make it successful.

 “Well, let me share this story with you today. Everybody that knows me knows I love the youth of Ghana, and I always want to see them doing well. I want to see the boys and girls in the ghettos move from being unemployed into having gainful employment,” Shatta Wale said.

“That’s how the #Shaxi dream was born. My team and I set out to create a sustainable business with a focus on providing employment for the teeming unemployed Ghanaians. That’s our drive and not profits. At the end of the day, we want to make an impact and leave our mark,” he added.

The launch was graced by renowned media personalities, musicians, industry players and well wishers.

Notable among them, were the Chief Executive Officer of the Excellence Media Broadcasting Network (EIB),Mr Nathan Kwabena Adisi, affectionately known as Bola Ray, Media Personality and General Manager of EIB Network, Nana Ama Anamoah, former Deputy Minister of Information, Mr Pius Enam Hadzide, Ghanaian Musician and Politician, Kwame Asare Obeng, Kwame, A Plus and  Artiste Manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson also known as Bulldog.

Others were his bossom friends and Ghanaian musician sensation, Medikal and his wife, Falla Makafui, Media Personality, Serwaa Amihere and some industry players.

The event was also graced by the ‘My Level’ hitmaker’s father, Mr. Charles Nii Armah Mensah Snr.
