A closer look at young "goal poacher" Ike Kuffour

Born on July 1, 2005, Ike Kuffour is a typical goal poacher single handedly led Citi Football Academy to an historic qualifications in the Ashanti Regional Division 3 League.

Teams will die to have this young talented striker Ike Kuffour in their ranks following his exploit with newly promoted Division Two side Citi Football Academy.

The bulky forward scored 10 goals in 8 games to finished as the top scorer of the Division.

Kuffour has been likened to many top strikers because of his instinctive nature and ability to score with any part of his body.

He is not just a scorer but a team player as he has four assist to his name.

Kuffour made history by becoming the first player to score five (5) goals in a single game in the Ashanti Region Division 3 League.

He won four man of the match award to end the campaign as the most valuable player.

Kuffour has promised to get better by working hard as he sets his sight on becoming a World class player.

“I can still do better, I still have a lot to learn. I want to thank my coach for shaping me to become a better player. The road is very long but I’m looking upto the future with a lot of excitement” Kuffour told FootballMadeInGhana.com.

The young prospect also leave report on his future to his handlers as his focused on getting better.

“For that I can’t tell if I will be at Citi Football Academy or not. I’m focusing on my training and how to get better. The rest are in the hands of my management.

Kuffour has already had a feel of the National team after he was invited in the camp of the National U20 camp ahead of the WAFU Zone B Championship.

The youngster is not in a rush to return to the National team as he await for the perfect time.

” I will definitely return. Every footballer’s dream is to represent to don the National team jersey. I know my hard work will definitely take me there.” He added.
