Anakaraspor attacker Umar Abdul Basit donates to former club New Edubiase
Former New Edubiase United forward Umar Abdul Basit has made a donation to his former club.
The Anakaraspor foward donated set of jerseys, bottled mineral water, energy drinks and cash to the club at the training grounds on Wednesday afternoon.
The donation was made to appreciate the club for paving way for him.
The former Ghanaian U-20 star had a sterling career with the Division One side before he joined Turkish First League side Ankaraspor in 2020.
” Well I think it’s an obligation for me as a former player to show some nice gestures to New Edubiase because i owe them a lot.
They were basically my stepping stone to the level I’ve reached.
So it’s an honor to do this to show my appreciation”, he told
Basit in the 2020/21 campaign contributed to five goals, scoring four and assisting one in 24 appearances for Anakaraspor.
