Arsenal FC joins race to sign Sergio Ramos

The poker game for Real Madrid’s free transfer ex-captain Sergio Ramos has not yet been decided. According to information from goal and SPOX, talks are underway between the central defender and France’s runner-up Paris Saint-Germain.

An agreement, as it has already been announced in several media, has not yet been reached.

Rather, there are other clubs that have expressed their interest in Ramos’ services. This includes Arsenal FC, which attracts the 35-year-old with a senior role within the team. What speaks against the Gunners, however, is that they will not be represented in the Champions League in the coming season.

There are two main things to do with his new employer: The 35-year-old wants to continue to play at the very highest level and he is aiming for the two-year contract that Real Madrid denied him in the negotiations.

Sergio Ramos: His brother is negotiating with PSG

His brother and advisor Rene Ramos was last in Paris for talks. However, it was not yet about concrete figures. Both parties have agreed to continue negotiations in the near future. At the same time, Ramos continues to sound out the market for possible further interested parties. In addition to Arsenal, there should be at least one other Premier League club that is considering signing the record Spanish national player.

Ramos announced his departure from Real Madrid in mid-June after 16 years. The defender and Los Blancos had not been able to agree on a contract extension.
