Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta provides update on potential Thomas Partey and Sambi Lokonga partnership
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has disclosed that he is yet to decide whether he will pair Thomas Partey and new signing Albert Sambi Lokonga in midfield for the game against Norwich City.
The Gunners will be chasing a first win of the 2021/2022 English Premier League season on Saturday when the team hosts Norwich at the Emirates Stadium.
Fortunately for the team, midfield powerhouse Thomas Partey has recovered from his hamstring injury and cleared for the upcoming game.
Asked whether he will start Partey and Sambi Lokonga in midfield for the Norwich game, manager Mikel Arteta says he is yet to decide.
“Depending on who we have available and the formation we’re going to use, if we’re going to play with two holders or one holder, we will have some options there as well, with the arrival of Martin and with Emile who can play in those pockets. It will depend,” Arteta said.
Thomas Partey has gradually regained his fitness and looks set for a starting role in the Norwich City game on Saturday afternoon.
