Asante Kotoko duo Agyapong and Opoku receive Ghana U-20 call up
Asante Kotoko duo Augustine Agyapong and Clinton Opoku have received call ups to the Ghana Under-20 set-up.
The defender and forward respectively have been in remarkable form and have made the Porcupine Warriors matchday squads though they are yet to have game minutes.
This is the second U-20 call up for 17-year old Agyapong who joined the club this season from the lower division on a four-year deal.
It is, however, different for Opoku as this is the first-ever national team call up for the 18-year old who also joined the Reds this season on a four-year deal.
Agyapong told asantekotoko.com, “To be called to the U20 means that I am on the right path and that path means that I have to keep improving at the club level.”
“It is one thing to receive a call up and another to keep yourself there,” Opoku also told asantekotoko.com. “Having had the call up, the next step now is to work extra hard to remain there.”
