Asante Kotoko set to host Tanzanian giants Yanga SC in ceremonial match before new season
Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko will host Tanzanian giants, Young Africans SC [Yanga SC] in a ceremonial match prior to the start of the 2021/2022 football season, footballghana.com can report.
The Ghanaian giants are currently in Dubai where the team is holding a pre-season training camp.
Last Tuesday, the club was scheduled to face Atletico Arabia in a friendly match but the game was cancelled last minute due to some technical issues.
Preparing to return to Ghana, Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement with LaLiga Academy HPC for a last friendly game.
The encounter will be played tomorrow at the Shababal Ahli Stadium in Dubai.
Subsequently, the Asante Kotoko team will return to Ghana on Friday, October 22, 2021.
On returning home, the Porcupine Warriors club will prepare to face Yanga SC in a crunch meeting in a ceremonial match to mark the team’s return to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the new football season.
