Brighton manager Graham Potter backs Tariq Lamptey to get better after recovering from injury

Manager of Brighton & Hove Albion, Graham Potter says he has no doubt English-Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey will get even better than he has shown in recent times.

The youngster after a long injury lay-off has recovered and is now playing week in and week out for his club.

After his last explosive performance against Leeds United, Brighton boss Graham Potter could not hold back on praise for the player.

According to the tactician, Tariq Lamptey has done well since his return from injury and will even get better with time.

“I’m really impressed with him. He has had a long injury out so it’s not the easiest to get up to speed in the Premier League.

“Ideally you would want to have some build-up in a different environment,” Graham Potter said in a post-match interview.

He continued, “We have had that a little bit but, because we are in the middle of a season, we have had to manage his minutes, which I think we have done quite well.

“As a result of that, he will get better and better.”
