Dan Cook tips Andre Ayew to succeed at Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace podcaster Dan Cook has tipped Andre Ayew to succeed at the club should he secured a move to the club.
Andre Ayew is currently without a club after leaving Swansea City at the expiration of his contract.
He was instrumental for the side last season scoring 17 goals in all competitions and has become a subject of interest for several clubs including Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.
According to reports, Crystal Palace have opened talks with the Ghana captain representatives for a potential move.
Speaking on the HLTCO podcast, Dan Cook admitted the competitiveness of the Championship is not the same as the Premier League but believes Andre Ayew can thrive at Crystal Palace having featured in the top-flight sometime ago.
He added he has what it takes to be a Premier League footballer.
“Another player that is being heavily linked with a move to Crystal Palace is Jordan Ayew’s older brother, Andre. He has, of course, been on the books at Swansea City over the last couple of years and has done relatively well, I believe he scored 15 or 16 goals for them in the Championship in back-to-back seasons.
“Of course, the Championship isn’t the same in terms of its competitiveness as the Premier League. He is well-versed in what it takes to be a Premier League footballer.
“If you factor in the emotional connection of Andre and Jordan being together at Crystal Palace, it may well work wonders for us.” He said.
