Egypt to host first ever CAF Women’s Champions League
Egypt have been selected as host country for the maiden women’s CAF Champions League in 2021, which takes place in November.
The decision was made on Saturday morning by the CAF Executive Committee in Kigali, Rwanda.
The 2021 CAF Women’s Champions League, which will be the first-ever of its kind in Africa will gather the best selected women’s club teams to Compete for the ultimate honor.
The format of the first edition will see champions of each of the six CAF Zones play for a spot in the competition. The qualified teams will be joined by the hosts and a wild card entry. The tournament will then be played in two groups of four teams.
Hasaacas Ladies have been chosen to represent Ghana in the qualifying competition in West Africa Zone B. The qualifying tournament will take place in July.
