Elmina Sharks, Liberty, Dwarfs & King Faisal relegation fight ‘going right to the wire’
After Elmina Sharks win over Legon Cities followed King Faisal’s victory against Ebusua Dwarfs , it is tighter than ever in the Ghana Premier League relegation battle.
With Inter Allies confirming their relegation two weeks ago, five relegated clubs are separated by just two points in the battle to avoid the drop.
King Faisal’s have now jumped to 13th on the League standings one point ahead of Liberty Professionals who are 15th on the League table.
Elmina Sharks victory against Legon Cities took them to 38 points same points as Ebusua Dwarfs who are 17th on the League standings.
Legon Cities defeat yesterday means they have to win their last game against Eleven Wonders at home to survive.
With King Faisal and Liberty Professionals playing each other, Ebusua Dwarfs could be save if they win at home to Bechem United.
Elmina Sharks face an uphill task on the final day as they will travel to Obuasi to face Asante Kotoko.
A win against Kotoko will still not be enough as they will have to hope other results will go in their favor.
A draw will be enough for King Faisal against Liberty, due to their superior head to head over Elmina Sharks and Ebusua Dwarfs.
Liberty Professionals will have to beat King Faisal at Sogakope, anything beyond that will see them drop to the Division One League.
