Former Kotoko GM reveals club's hatred for defender Wahab Adams

Former Asante Kotoko General Manager Nana Akwasi Gyambibi has fired a hot salvo at the current leadership of the club insisting defender Wahab Adams is not in their good books, hence becoming a bench warmer.

The former management member believes the defender is one of the best in the club but ‘sheer dislike’ has made him a continuous bench warmer.

Though Gyambibi was not specific who his salvo is directed at, he is of the firm believe that none of the current center backs of the club is better than Wahab to make him a bench warmer.

He adds that the player is facing dislike hence not being considered even for low profile games under new manager Mariano Barreto.

As to whether Barreto is the one who hates Wahab or the Nana Yaw Amponsah management is the one carrying the hate bell, Gyambibi did not mention.

But he is convinced that if the player was in their good books, he would have played a number of games for the Porcupine Warriors.

In a tweet, Nana Gyambibi wrote: “I become ambivalent when I hear people saying Wahab Adams of Asante Kotoko is a bad player.”

“For me, he’s one of the best defenders whose experience is also without doubt.

“I think it’s sheer dislike, hence his continuous presence on the bench,” he fired.

The massive revelation by the former Kotoko top official fuels speculations that the new management, led by Nana Yaw Amponsah did not have some players in their good books.

Haven’t played a key role once upon a time for the Porcupine Warriors, many believe Nana Gyambibi is just speaking the minds of many players who have fallen off the radar with the new management including Felix Annan and all the players who left the club upon the arrival of Nana Yaw Amponsah.
