Genoa attacker Caleb Ekuban hasn’t forgotten about Trabzonspor
Orka Holding signed a sponsorship agreement to dress the football and technical team of Genoa Cricket and Football Club (Genoa CFC), one of the well-established teams of the Italian First Football League (Serie A), for two seasons.
At the ceremony held at the club’s facilities in Genoa, it was announced that Orka Holding’s ready-made clothing brand Damat-Tween will dress the Genoa team in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons.
The sponsorship agreement signing ceremony was attended by Orka Holding’s Chairman of the Board Süleyman Orakcioglu, Board Member and General Coordinator Osman Arar as well as Genao Club Top Manager Alessandro Zarbano. Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban, who also wore Trabzonspor jersey for a while, Sierra Leone striker Yayah Kallon and Mexican defender Johan Vasquez were also present at the ceremony with suits from Damat-Tween’s new collection for Genoa.
At the press conference, Orakçıoğlu stated that they were very pleased with the sponsorship agreement and said, “We believe in Genoa’s success. Because it is one of the founding teams of Serie A. There are definitely ups and downs in every team. We need to look at this in the long term. I believe we will bring luck.” said.
Zarbano also expressed their satisfaction with this agreement.
Later, Orakcioglu and Zarbano posed for the press with the players Ekuban, Kallon and Vasquez, wearing the classic piece Genoa jersey with “No. 35” and “Groom-Tween” on the back.
In his statement about the agreement, Süleyman Orakcioglu stated that Italy is important for them and said, “Genoa has a special place. Genoa is a city that makes history. At the same time, Italy is the place where the heart of fashion beats. We came to make history at the heart of fashion and today We signed this agreement. I would like to thank both the president and my fellow executives.” he said.
Explaining that they operate in 80 countries of the world, Orakcıoglu said:
“We continue on our way with the speed of light in the global competition. But there were surprises here today. What kind of surprise was there? While we were sponsoring different teams in many countries of the world, Ekuban knew our brand when we were in Trabzonspor, especially during our sponsorship period in Trabzonspor. Ekuban is here today. “The world is small. So when you think big, you make the world smaller. First of all, we never really felt alone when we made this deal. There was such a nice warm atmosphere, energy and above all, an atmosphere as if we had known each other for centuries.”
Emphasizing that they will continue the path they follow in the Italian market and in the world, Orakcioglu said, “As a Turkish brand, we will continue to plant our flag all over the world. This is now our mission.” said.
Stating that they challenged Italy, the heart of fashion, with the Damat-Tween brand, Orakcioglu said, “Because we make luxury accessible. First of all, we believe in the energy of our team. We have gained a great experience. In the global competition, all of the professionals take great interest in our brand. We follow our developments closely. But we have a surprise: After sponsoring Genoa, we will open a store in Genoa. We will open 10 more stores in Italy next year. Our targets are big.” used the phrase.
Genoa Club CEO Zarbano said, “We are pleased to make this commercial agreement with Damat. Instead of choosing us or them, I can say that we mutually prefer each other with the desire to grow together. We are extremely happy with this partnership.” he said.
Ekuban: “I hope this cooperation will bring good results here too”
Ekuban, who played for Trabzonspor in 2018-2021 and transferred to Genoa club at the beginning of the season, also said the following about the sponsorship agreement:
“The first thing I felt when I heard that Damat was our sponsor was that the Turks did not want to leave me. I had a good experience at Trabzonspor, I have good feelings. I want to establish similar ties here as I managed to win a trophy at Trabzonspor. I hope this cooperation will be good here too. It brings results.”
Asked if he had a message for Trabzonspor players, Ekuban said, “Obviously I don’t like to give a message, but I learned a lot as a football player and a person in Trabzon. I learned to go out on the field and dominate the game and try to win because we felt the weight of the colors we carry. It reminded us that we were there to win. Now, every time I go out on the field, I go out to win, which will be my lifelong goal.” gave the answer.
