Ghana defender Alexander Djiku satisfied with point from Saint-Etienne game
Ghana international, Alexander Djiku has expressed his satisfaction to the team’s draw against Saint-Etienne over the weekend.
The defender was in action for his team on Sunday when the team drew 2-2 with its opponent in the French Ligue 1.
Speaking after the encounter, Alexander Djiku said the point is okay although his team should have secured the win.
“It’s a very good point in view of the face of the match. We knew it was going to be complicated here, in front of an audience that pushes them from start to finish. At the moment they are very good. They stayed on three consecutive wins. So I think it’s a very good point,” the centre-back said.
Alexander Djiku continued, “We have a good collective control in the first half. Afterwards, in the second half, we knew that we would be tired. We had highlights and weak times. We had to know how to defend well, that’s what we did. We could have scored that third goal, just as they could have scored it too.”
The Black Stars defender has been impressive this season for both country and club.
