Ghana sensation Abdul Fatawu Issahaku one of four talented teenagers set to play at 2021 AFCON

Ghana international, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is one of four talented teenagers set to play at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The delayed AFCON is finally coming on this year and has been scheduled to commence on Sunday, January 9, 2022, in Cameroon.

Looking through the squads of all 24 national teams that will be playing at the continental showpiece, four teenagers stand out.

Out of the four, Ghana forward Abdul Fatau Issahaku could be said to be the topmost player.

The teenager last year emerged as the best player at the U-20 AFCON after an outstanding display that inspired the Black Satellites to be crowned champions.

After being named in the Ghana squad for the 2021 AFCON, the Dreams FC poster boy finds himself as one of the youngest players going to Cameroon.

Youngest players going to 2021 AFCON:

Beyatt Lekweiry: Mauritania (16 years, 8 months, 3 weeks)

Ibrahim Sessay (GK): Sierra Leone (17 years, 2 months)

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku: Ghana (17 years, 10 months)

Hannibal Mejbri: Tunisia (8 years, 11 months).

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku in the last few months has established himself as one of the best Black Stars attackers.

If he prioritises teamwork at the tournament, he could be the inspiration Ghana needs to end its 40-year title drought.
