Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu put up impressive to help Southampton draw against Manchester Utd
Ghanaian international, Mohammed Salisu put up an impressive performance on Sunday afternoon to help Southampton to earn point from the game against Manchester United.
The Saints today hosted the Red Devils at the St. Mary’s Stadium in a matchday two encounter of the 2021/2022 English Premier League season.
Starting for the second game of the season running, Mohammed Salisu excelled in his centre-back role and made a key goal line clearance in the first half.
Helping his team to shut down Manchester United in the first half, the Saints led at the break courtesy of an own goal from Fred.
Although the visitors would draw level through Mason Greenwood after an assist from in-form Paul Pogba in the second half, Southampton managed to hold on to pick a point at full-time.
Special credit to Ghana’s Mohammed Salisu whose performance in defense ensured that he finished as the highest rated player on the matchday.
