Ghanaian forward Kwabena Owusu slapped with a two-match ban in Turkey
Ghanaian international, Kwabena Owusu has been slapped with a two-match ban in Turkey where he plays his football.
The striker was signed by MKE Ankaragücü in the off-season on a one-year loan deal from Azerbaijani outfit Qarabag.
Prior to the international break, Kwabena Owusu hit top form and was a star for his club in the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).
In an incident where the player shared a video of one of his goals shared by a fan, it was flagged by the Professional Football Disciplinary as containing foul language.
After the officials looked into the matter, they ruled that Kwabena Owusu should serve a two-match ban.
Although his club MKE Ankaragücü appealed the ban, the Arbitration Board has unanimously approved the ban of 2 matches and imposed a fine of 13 thousand liras on Kwabena Owusu.
