Ghana’s Thomas Partey stars in Arsenal midfield to inspire comeback win against Wolves
The international, Thomas Partey put up a massive performance on Thursday night as he helped his Arsenal outfit to come from behind to defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 in the English Premier League.
The midfielder started for the Gunners yesterday when the team hosted Wolves at the Emirates Stadium to fight for points on matchday 20 of the ongoing 2021/22 English top-flight league.
Following a slow start to the game by the home team, the visitors led at halftime courtesy of an equalizer from Hwan Lee-Chan in the 11th minute.
Needing to show up in the second half, the midfield trio of Odegaard, Granit Xhaka, and Thomas Partey did just that as they combined to win the game for Arsenal
The Black Stars midfielder in particular was unplayable for most parts of the second half and helped Arsenal to score twice through Nicholas Pepe and Alexander Lacazette.
The win has helped Arsenal to clinch the fifth position in the English Premier League and with a good chance to break into the top four.
