Hasaacas Ladies coach Yussif Basigi ready for CAF Women’s Champions League competition
Hasaacas Ladies head coach Yussif Basigi says his team is ready for the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League competition.
The Ghanaian side have been paired against host club, Wadi Degla of Egypt, AS Mandi of Mali and Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea in the maiden edition of the competition.
The tournament will be held in Egypt in November.
Yussif Basigi who guided Hasaacas Ladies to win treble last season including the WAFU B Champions League title which guaranteed them a place in the tournament proper says they are ready for the task ahead and is confident they can make Ghanaians proud.
Speaking to Takoradi-based Goodnews FM, he said, “We’re ready for the competition, we started training 3 weeks ago. We need prayers and supports from everyone for victory in Egypt.”
“For now, no injuries at the camp, the ladies are fit and ready to fight for the nation. Truly I don’t have any idea of the teams in our group but will look for their games.”
“The feedbacks from the Sports Ministry together with the GFA is very positive for financial supports.”
The Ghanaian side will begin their campaign against Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea.
