Hearts lash Ghana Police Nationals 3-0 in a friendly clash

Defending Ghana Premier League champions Accra Hearts of Oak registered a 3-0 win over Division Two side Ghana Police Nationals at the St. Thomas Aquinas School Park on Wednesday morning.

The Phobians continued their fine form after their clash with Kotoko to grab a 2-0 lead before the break and increased the tally in the second half in a game they played two different sides.

Forward Kofi Kordzi fired the Rainbow Boys into the lead with brilliant strike 20 minutes into the game to set the tone for a demolishing morning.

Benjamin Yorke doubled the lead for Hearts on the stroke of half time to end the first half 2-0.

Hearts returned from the break with a new team led by Ghana star Sulley Muntari.

Suraj Seidu increased the tally few minutes after the break after connecting beautifully to a Sulley Muntari pass to give Hearts a 3-0 lead.

The Phobians kept pushing for more goals with Sulley Muntari coming close to scoring the 4th goal but for a superb effort from the police Nationals goalkeeper.

The Police team came closer to reducing the tally but the effort of Nathaniel Quaye was beautifully flicked over the bar by Ben Mensah with ten minutes to and proceedings.
