‘It’s a shame he’s not coming’ – Kudus Mohammed on Kamaldeen snubbing Ajax for Rennes
Black Stars midfielder Kudus Mohammed says it is a shame compatriot Kamaldeen Sulemana will not be playing for Ajax.
The 19-year-old signed a five-year contract to move from Danish club Nordsjaelland to the French side in a deal reportedly worth €21 million.
The deal is a straight cash deal that will give Nordsjaelland an immediate amount of €16 million with a further €5 million to be added depending on the appearances the winger-cum-striker makes for the French side.
Kudus disclosed Voetbal international of making an effort to lure his countryman to join the Dutch giants but could not materialized.
“Of course I talked to Kamaldeen about Ajax,” Kudus told Voetbal International.
“I sketched him what it’s like here and would have loved it if he had come” he said.
According to Kudus, he regret Kamaldeen will not feature for his outfit but said he respects his choice.
“That’s all Kudus could do.’I’d do that to any footballer. Each player chooses his own path and takes a different path.”
