Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu wants ex-players involvement in the Black Stars technical team

Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu has called on the Ghana Football Association to strengthened the technical bench of the Black Stars with former players of the team.

On the floor of parliament on Tuesday, the astute politician noted the bench of the senior national team is weak and wants ex-players to be included in the backroom staff.

The Tamale South Member of Parliament, stated during the presentation of Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif, how the Black Stars needs a good bench to win AFCON.

“Kudos for that but you know the problem, the team, the political leadership, the President, you and us we provide it everything for the national team but your technical bench is not good and strong enough and you must work on the technical bench and the use of the old Black Stars players you don’t appreciate it” he said.

“There are many experience Black Stars players who wants to play a role in supporting your technical bench to be successful regardless of where they come from or who they are seek to engage them to be able to support your technical bench”

Meanwhile, coach Milovan Rajevac has made his intentions clear on improving his backroom staff before the tournament in January.

Although, he is deputized by Maxwell Konadu and Otto Addo, the Serbian trainer wants a scout and a video analyst.

The Black Stars will leave Ghana for Qatar to begin preparations for the Nations Cup on December 22.
