Mohammed Kadiri explains why he doesn’t want to live off his father’s money
Mohammed Kadiri who comes from a royal family has stated that he doesn’t want to live off his father’s money in an interview with Dinamo Kyiv media.
The former Ashantigold player is currently in Budapest and he will be staying at Honved till the end of the season.
“When I was a child, I was called a prince. I could lounge around all day and live off my father’s money, but I decided early on that I would not depend on anyone, I would live my own life,” he said.
Mohammed, according to Bors, adores Hungary and cannot picture his life without football. Ghanaian footballer has a lot of promise as a player who can also play as a defensive midfielder and center-back.
Mohammed wants to prove that he can stand on his own two feet, despite the fact that he belongs to a prominent family and could live the rest of his life without doing any work. The ex-Arsenal Tula player has even worked as a plumber in the past!
“I didn’t like it, but if it weren’t for football, I’d probably be working in the industry.”
Kadiri stated that he only approached his father for assistance once, as a teenager, when he was struggling to make ends meet. His brothers work in gold mines, and two of them play football. So far, his brother Mohammed Fatau has achieved the most: after playing for the Italian academy Udinese, he has played for Spanish teams in the first and second divisions.
“I am very grateful to be here and I would like to thank all those who made it possible for me to join the club. It has always been my desire to be part of a football family like Honvéd, I am very happy to have been given this opportunity and I will work as much as possible to help the team achieve its goals. I want the club and the fans to be proud of me,” he ended.
