“My players weren’t hungry” Bashir Hayford questions Legon Cities players’ attitude after King Faisal defeat
Legon Cities manager, Bashir Hayford, has question the attitude of his player’s following their 2-0 defeat to King Faisal on Monday.
Legon Cities picked up a third consecutive loss as Faisal beat the Royals 2-0 at Ohene Ameyaw Park.
Speaking after game, the former Asante Kotoko trainer stated his boys weren’t hungry for the win and admitted the ‘Insha Allah’ lads deserved the win.
Our opponents were much better than us today. They put up a spirited fight and performance. They were more determined than my boys and that reflected in the score line.”
“My boys were down psychologically. I spoke to them in the dressing room and even on the pitch, I spoke to them again before the start of the second half. We started the strongly then a little mistake from the back and we are down. It’s difficult.”
“The rest of our games, we will give everything for it and make sure we get the three points because we need it.”
Legon Cities in spite of the defeat sits 11th on 38 points and need two points from the remaining three games to maintain a top flight status for next season.
