Nana Yaw Amponsah: I rejected an offer from a UK club to take Asante Kotoko job
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has indicated that he turned down an offer from a club in the United Kingdom (UK) prior to his appointment.
The young football administrator last year was appointed as the new CEO of the Porcupine Warriors club on the back of speculations that lasted for weeks.
Opening up in an interview with Oyerepa FM today, Nana Yaw Amponsah says there was an offer from a club in the UK when he still decided he will work for Asante Kotoko as CEO.
“There’s a club in UK that wanted to employ me as director of Football,” the Kotoko CEO said while adding “People should respect the institution Asante Kotoko. My salary was negotiated with the board.”
In his first year as CEO of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has managed to secure a number of sponsorship deals for the club.
According to him, the club has already raked in $900,000 dollars since he took over.
He has assured that more deals will be announced soon.
