President Akufo-Addo rewards Black Satellites; players pocket $10K each
Ghana President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced a cash reward of US$ 10,000 to Black Satellites players for winning the 2021 Total Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Each player will get $5K in cash, and an investment plan of $5k over a ten year period.
The president’s promise comes after the gallant Ghana U-20 side visited him at the Flagstaff House to present to him the trophy won at the showpiece in Mauritania.
Akuffo-Addo also made personal donation of $5,000 to Tournament MVP Issahaku Fatawu, Golden Glove winner Danlad Ibrahim, Captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and head Coach Karim Zito.
The National U20 side beat the Hippos of Uganda by 2-0 in the finals on Saturday evening to clinch the coveted trophy for the 4th time.
