PSG Sporting Director blasts referee for failing to show Ghana and Nantes defender Dennis Appiah red card
Sporting Director of Paris Saint-Germain, Leonardo believes Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah should have received the matching orders during their clash with Nantes last Saturday.
The enterprising defender featured as Nantes shocked PSG with a 3-1 home win in the French Ligue 1.
Reacting to the defeat, Leonardo expressed his displeasure about the performance of the referee, Mikael Lesage as he believes the Ghanaian defender should have been sent off in the match.
“[Nantes defender] Dennis Appiah should have been shown the second yellow card for the penalty on [Kylian] Mbappe,” said Leonardo.
“And a second yellow, logically, means a red card and sending off. In addition, the referee stopped giving many fouls on our players” he said.
