Sulley Muntari bags first trophy with Hearts of Oak after 2022 President’s Cup triumph
Veteran Ghana midfielder, Sulley Muntari added to his collection of trophies on Friday night as he helped Hearts of Oak to defeat Asante Kotoko 2-1 to clinch the 2022 President’s Cup.
The former AC Milan midfielder was officially unveiled by the Phobians as their new player on February 1, 2022.
Over a month and a few days, Sulley Muntari has managed to bag a first trophy with his new club.
The experienced midfielder started for Hearts of Oak this evening when the team locked horns with Asante Kotoko in the 2022 President’s Cup.
In a game where the player lasted over 70 minutes, he excelled and provide quality in midfield for his side.
At the end of 90 minutes, goals from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Patrick Razak propelled Hearts of Oak to hammer Asante Kotoko 2-1 to become champions.
Joining his Hearts of Oak teammates to celebrate the cup win, Sulley Muntari will now aim for additional accolades with Hearts of Oak at the season.
