Tema Youth goalie Christian Addai suffers broken leg injury in game against Gold Stars
The goalkeeper of Tema Youth Football, Christian Addai on Friday, October 15, 2021, suffered a career-threatening injury while in action against Bibiani Gold Stars.
The club is currently competing in the maiden edition of the National Division One Super Cup.
In a game against Gold Stars at the Madina Astroturf today, Christian Addai captained Tema Youth and was in post at the start of the match.
Unfortunately, he could not complete the match and had to be a substitute in the 83rd minute of the clash. The highly-rated goalkeeper suffered a broken leg injury that required urgent medical attention.
The medical team on scene worked on him before an ambulance carried him to the hospital for additional and required medical attention.
Meanwhile, Tema Youth FC, fortunately, held on to a 1-0 lead to pip Bibiani Gold Stars at the end of the match.
