Tunisian club Esperance handed transfer ban over failure to settle debt of Ghanaian forward Abdul Basit
The world football governing body (FIFA) has handed Tunisian giants Esperance Sportive de Tunis a transfer ban following their failure to settle debt of Ghanaian forward Abdul Basit Khalid.
The 24-year-old who joined the club in January 2021 saw his contract terminated in July which runs until 2023 by the club over an unimpressive performance.
However, FIFA has imposed a transfer ban on the club until the payment of the arrears of five thousand euros of the Ghanaian striker for breach of contract.
He is currently a free agent after terminating contract with the club.
The enterprising forward managed only three goals in 24 appearances in all competitions for Esperance across the period he spent at the club.
