UEFA remembers one of Kevin-Prince Boateng's great moment with AC Milan

The former AC Milan playmaker scored one of the finest goals of his Rossoneri career ten years ago.

This week, we’re back in the midst of fantastic football. The Champions League, in reality, resumes with the opening leg of the round of 16. Tonight’s action kicks off with a great contest between Real Madrid and Paris St. Germain.

Unfortunately, AC Milan did not go past the group stage of this competition, failing to qualify in a group that included Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, and Porto. However, returning to the large ear cup after 7 years was an essential step.

It’s no surprise that UEFA recalled an incident involving Milan in a match that took place precisely 10 years ago today. On February 15, 2012, Milan met Arsenal in the opening leg of the Champions League’s first knockout round. It was one of the most upbeat and memorable games in recent Rossoneri history.

The official UEFA Twitter account recalled Milan’s first goal against the Gunners in the San Siro match. A particularly beautiful creation by Kevin-Prince Boateng. The then playmaker of Massimiliano Allegri’s team started the Rossoneri poker.

In the quarter of an hour of the first half Boateng received the ball at the edge of the area on a throw from Nocerino. Chest stop to follow and flying conclusion from a tight angle to say the least. The ball shot by the Ghanaian slipped under the crossbar of the goal defended by Szczesny, literally blowing up the San Siro.

Two Robinho goals and Ibrahimovic’s penalty in the second half set the score at 4-0.
