We are ready to pay more than $100 for Asante Kotoko stadium project – Supporters chief
Christopher Damenya, the Asante Kotoko Supporters chief has said the fans of the club are willing to pay more than $100 for the stadium project.
Supporters of the Porcupine Warriors have lauded the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah after he said he needs 100,000 committed fans to be able to build a stadium for the club.
Former players and supporters of the club have expressed their readiness to help build the stadium.
However, Damenya in an interview has revealed that the fans are willing to pay more than the said amount.
“A lot of people have called to take part. Some people are calling to pay more than that. So we are going to work on it”, he told Accra based Happy FM.
“We have the numbers and if all our supporters are ready to contribute, we can build a mini-stadium”, he added.
Asante Kotoko meanwhile will be hoping to keep their stay at the top intact when they travel to Bechem United in their matchday 19 games this weekend.
