We need to start winning games – Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu
Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu, has stated that the Phobians need to start winning games in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The reigning champions were held to a 1-1 draw at Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon. In the 13th minute, Isaac Mensah scored on a well-taken corner kick by Sulley Muntari to put the Phobians ahead.
The Phobians failed to hold onto their first-half goal in the final minutes of the game, as Osman Amadu’s late goal tied the game, preventing the Phobians from capturing the three points and closing the gap on league leaders Asante Kotoko.
Speaking after the game coach Samuel Boadu said Hearts need to start winning games and they are going to do everything to win against their next opponent which is WAFA.
“We will go back to the drawing board and revise our notes to make sure we get the win against WAFA. A win is not negotiable because we need to win games,” he said.
The Phobians are seventh in the league table after 18 games, with 26 points, 14 fewer than league leaders Asante Kotoko.
