World Cup play-off: Matches between Ghana and Nigeria goes beyond form – Alhaji Grusah
Black Stars Management Committee Member, Alhaji Grusah believes matches between Ghana and Nigeria goes beyond form and has therefore expressed optimism about qualification to the World Cup at the expense of the Super Eagles.
The first leg of the titanic qualifying tie will be played on March 25 at the Baba Yara Stadium. Four days later, the two giants will meet again in Abuja with the aggregate winner qualifying for the tournament later this year.
Ahead of the encounter, pundit have tipped Nigeria to qualify at the expense of Ghana considering their squad depth and current form.
But according to the veteran football administrator, matches between the two country’s goes beyond form and is confident about Black Stars qualification chances.
“Playing Nigeria is not about form, but the desire to earn the bragging rights. It is like when Hearts and Kotoko meet in a game, it goes beyond form” he told GNA Sports.
He has therefore called on Ghanaians to render their unflinching support to the team to book a ticket to the final party in Qatar.
