TV3’s broadcaster and NewDay host, Johnnie Beresford Hughes has said the former Presidential Candidate for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Dr Michael Abu Sakara Foster is the agric minister Ghana will never have.
Speaking on TV3 NewDay on Tuesday, September 21, a day set aside to celebrate Ghana’s first President, he said making the sector work as was done by Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah would require the needed actions and not just words as it had been in recent times.
“Look, I will say this and say it again Ghana’s agric minister that it will never have is Abu Sakara Foster , that is it, so it not words is deeds,” he said.
Mr Hughes made the comment while speaking about the successes chalked by Ghana’s First President Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah in the sector, as well as the numerous projects made to sustain it including an €8.5million silos, a storage facility which was to store cocoa and other grains.
According to him, leadership always finds a excuses of putting wrong people in places they should not be and that had contributed to the numerous challenges confronting the country.
“We have mastered the act of putting square pegs in round holes so that what we have mastered. We will make excuse for regional balance and put people who are not qualified into places. We will make an excuse for party fanaticism and give people positions. We will make a case for patronage and put people in positions and we will say you you did not contribute enough when we were going on in the campaigns and you…..” he said.
