There is going to be a lot of pain – Joe Jackson warns ahead of Gov’t economic recovery announcement

A Financial Analyst and the Chief Operating Officer of Dalex Finance, Mr Joe Jackson has warned ahead of government’s announcement on a road map to the country’s economic recovery that that there will be more hardships.

Speaking on TV3 News @10  monitored by GhanaPlus.com on Tuesday, March 22, he said the country will not get out of its current economic crises without hardships on the citizenry and called for a consensus building on how to share the burden to address the difficulties.

Whatever he says there is going to be a lot of pain. Whatever we think we are not going to get out of this situation without pain. And if we read anything that does not show pain then I will dare say that we are not attacking the problem at it root. We cannot spend our way out of this problem. We cannot play politics out of this problem. This problem is sitting down, building consensus and agreeing how we will share the pain because there is pain for everybody involved,” he said.

The pain is not being able to enjoy some of the things you used to do before because your cedis has fallen in value and  your salary has stayed the same because fuel prices have gone up and you have to take transportation because food prices have gone up and you still have to eat,” Mr Joe Jackson mentioned.

Government has announced, the Minister of Finance, Mr Ken Ofori-Atta will on Thursday, March 24 present to the nation government’s road map to address the ailing Ghanaian economy which has become a matter of concern.
