Wa Millitary alleged missing phone brutalities- bring perpetrators to book, we are not in a jungle – NPP Communicator

The Director of Programmes at the Office of the Vice President, Salam Mustapha has called for personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces who molested citizens of Wa in the Upper East Region over an alleged missing mobile phone to be made to  face the full rigor of the law.

Speaking on TV3 NewDay on Friday, July 2, monitored by GhanaPlus.com, he said Ghana was not a jungle and as such , such rowdy behaviours cannot be tolerated.

“I am scandalized. We cannot allow such elements run to the streets and do what they did yesterday. It is not acceptable in any civilized society and I am sure I have seen some moves being taken. In Wa the Regional Minister is stepping in hard on the foot to ensure that these men who went berserk and maraud and beaten people on the streets of Wa are brought to book.

“Can you imagine the temerity, some ones phone is missing and you take to the streets to molest people just because of a phone? No! that cannot be, we are not in a jungle and that there should be cause to bring these people to book,” he added.
