Mass up against Akufo –Addo for disrespecting Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V

The Director of the Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Abraham Amaliba has advised the youth of Aflao in the Volta Region to hit the street to register their displeasure against the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ’s responds to their Chief  Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V

 That he said was because the President comment was disrespectful, in bad taste as such need not be tolerated.

 “What I expect this morning is for the people of Aflao to mass up and demonstrate against the President for attacking their chief and for not completing the block”.

“It is in bad taste to have our president always he cannot stomach criticism, simple simple criticism he cannot stomach them and that I think is bile and that a weakness in our democracy. His conduct is a weakness in our democracy”.

 Mr Amliba made the comment on TV3 NewDay on Friday, October 22, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.

He was reacting to the responds of the President to Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V over his ultimatum to the Minister of Education to open within five month, an abandoned  E-block facility in his community.

 According to him, the 26 classroom block facility with five departments and 96 percent complete was rotten away at the expense of his community’s education.

 “Now carry this message to the Minister of Education, that come February I want this school to be opened”. Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V.

However, responding to the comment on Peace FM, the President asked Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V to complete the project if he was frustrated.

He opined, he was not in the position to give ultimatum adding government was working to complete all such projects.

“Is he the one going to give the Minister of Education ultimatum?”

“For some of the projects definitely we will ready ourselves and complete them. But, as much as possible, I have given you these examples for you to see that despite the propaganda [we are working on them,” the President said.
