Relieve power drunk Sekondi-Takoradi Major of his post – Adam Bonaa tells Akufo-Addo

A Security Analyst and Executive Director of Security Warehouse, Adam Bonaa has urged the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to as a matter of urgency relieve the Mayor of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Mr Abdul Mumin Issah of his post for assaulting a police officer.

Speaking on TV3 News@10 on Thursday, February 3, monitored by GhanaPlus.com, he said the Mayors is not suitable to represent the people  of his municipality.

According to him, the Mayor’s behavior was shameful, disgraceful and must be relieve of his post immediately.

“Is shameful, is disgraceful. You see what is happening in the sub-region is not so different from this power drunk DCE screaming and shouting at a police officer who has been employed and detailed to ensure that we behave in a more civil manner. For me words cannot really tell how I feel about this power drunk DCE who went to extent of running down the Police as an institution saying that he will transfer the Police officer who is literally just doing his job”.

“……And also for the president, I will urge the president, these persons, especially, this MCE  is not suitable to represent in that particular Municipality and as soon as possible he should be relieve of his position  while the process is ongoing in court but I must say is despicable”.

“Am urging the President to relieve him of his position immediately,” Adam Bonaa reiterated.

Sekondi-Takoradi Mayor allegedly arrested for assaulting a police officer, traffic offences

The Metropolitan Chief Executive Officer of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Mr Abdul Mumin Issah in a viral video making rounds on social media was heard threatening and reigning insult on a police officer who was attempting to effect his arrest for traffic breaches.

He has subsequently been arrested and charged for an alleged motor traffic offences, verbal assault and offensive conduct against a police officer who was performing his lawful duty.

Mr Mumin Issah is expected to appear in court tomorrow, Friday, February 4, 2022.
