2021 VGMA’s: Kofi Kinaata win’s Song Writer of the Year for the 4th time

Vida Essel-LampteyFante rap sensation and song writer, Martin King Arthur popularly known as Kofi Kinaata has been adjudged the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) Song Writer of the Year at the 22nd Ghana Vodafone Music Awards(VGMA).
The win bring to four the number of time, the sensational rapper cum singer has cling to the coveted award.
The Effia Kuma, Takoradi musician’s hit song “Behind the Scenes” beat stiff competition from gospel sensation, Diana Hamilton’s , Adom, songstress Adina’s Hyedin, contemporary gospel singer, Joe Mettle’s Yesu Mo, reggae dancehall pro, Epixode’s Too Much and new entrant and singer, Abiana’s Adun Lei to take the covered award.
In Behind the scenes, the multiple award winner talks about the struggles in life as a traveler and expectations of families despite your the struggles.
Past Awards
The Ghanaian musician first won the award in the year 2016 with single, Susuka, a year after he shot to the lime light.
A year later in 2017, he won the same category with his hit track “Confession” but lost it to Ruff Town Signee, Ebony Reign’s Maame Hwe posthumously.
The talented musician regained the coveted award again with his all time best, ‘Things Fall Apart’ last year and now with Behind the Scene making it four in 6years.
Receiving the award, Kofi Kinaata expressed his appreciation to the organizers of the awards, the general public as well as his fans, Team Move for the support.
