Ghana 2021 AFCON squad: Coach Milovan Rajevac taking 18 rookies to Cameroon to fight for glory

Ghana head coach, Milovan Rajevac has named 18 rookies in his final 28-man squad for the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The Serbian tactician a few weeks ago named a 30-man provisional squad to pitch camp in Doha, Qatar to prepare for the upcoming continental showpiece.

After making several assessments of players in and yet to report to camp, Coach Milovan Rajevac has settled on his final 28 man squad.

In the final squad, there are a lot of teenagers, youngsters, and first-timers who are yet to have a taste of the AFCON tournament.

Although it could be termed as an inexperienced side, this is a team that has shown in the qualifiers for the AFCON and the 2022 FIFA World Cup of their readiness to fight for the country.

With the right approach and the experience of head coach Milovan Rajevac, the inclusion of these many rookies could inspire Ghana to glory at the end of the tournament.
