Home-based players hoping to get playing time against Bafana Bafana

For the South Africa encounter, CK Akonnor will have to depend on some home players in his team.

Six local players were named to Akonnor’s 32-man preliminary roster for the doubleheader.

Due to COVID-19, the Black Stars will be without Andy Yiadom (Reading), Baba Abdul Rahman (Reading), Daniel Amartey (Leicester City), Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace), Jeffrey Schlupp (Crystal Palace), Daniel Kofi Kyereh (St. Pauli), and Braydon Manu for the South Africa encounter.

Due to quarantine rules in the United Kingdom and Germany, the players will miss the game.

Akonnor will be seeking to give debuts to some of the home based players that traveled to South Africa.
