MTN FA Cup: It was just 'a normal match'- Hearts coach Samuel Boadu on beating Medeama

Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu says his side’s encounter against Medeama in the MTN FA Cup semi-final was just a ‘normal game’.

The Phobians thrashed the Tarkwa-based side 3-0 to progress to the finals of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday at the Cape Coast stadium.

Benjamin Afutu opened the scoring with a towering header after connecting a cross from Isaac Mensah in the 12th minute.

Isaac Mensah later added the second before Daniel Barnieh converted from the spot to seal the win.

“It was just a normal match that we played. In fact, during the first half, they did well. they tried to confuse us but we should our technique and tactics to score all three goals,” coach Boadu said.

”I don’t build my team around a few people. I build the team around all the players so if one is not there, his replacement will be far better than the starter.”

Hearts will face 1993 champions Ashanti Gold in the final at the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday.

”[The final match] won’t be easy. Playing with AshGold- I don’t think it will be easy.”
