DCOP Kwesi Ofori bids farewell to Ghana police; retires on Wednesday

The Director-General, Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service, DCOP Kwesi Ofori has retired from active service.

A citinewsroom report said the renowned Deputy Chief of Police’s retirement takes effect on July 20 following his attainment of mandatory retirement age of 60years.

The report said a pull-out and farewell ceremony has been held at the National Police Training School, Accra in honour of the charismatic man who have served the Ghana Police Service in various capacities for many years.

The ceremony was attended by the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, members of the Police Management Board and well wishers.

DCOP Kwesi Ofori , “before his appointment as the Director General of Police Public Affairs Department served in other capacities, including Head of Police Operations at the Accra Regional Command of the service,” the report said.
