Vida Essel-LampteyFrancis Addai-Nimoh a member of the New Patriotic Party and former Member of Parliament for the Mampong Constituency in the Ashanti Region has confess he is disappointed the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has not appointed him to serve in his government.
The NPP stalwart who was actively involved in the campaigns leading to the election and re-election of the President made the confession in an exclusive interview on TV3 NewDay monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
“Of cause, I mean, I will be disappointed because as a human being if something affect you, you must express it so Johnnie ye!, I have been disappointed because I was looking forward to maybe have an opportunity to put my knowledge, my training, my experience, my expertise for the benefit of my country in public service but I have not had the opportunity so that is where the disappointment comes in,” Addai-Nimoh confessed when asked if he is disappointed the President has not appointed him yet.
The renowned Civil Engineer and Public Administration Master Degree holder bemoaned the right to appointment belongs to the President and if he does not deem him right to serve in his administration then there is nothing he or anyone can do.
Am contributing to governance in the private sector – Addai-Nimoh
That notwithstanding, Mr Addai-Nimoh said he is contributing his quota to governance and to the development of the country as a whole in the private sector adding that “good governance is provided by the government and the private sector”.
“Nonetheless, I still have to play my role from the private sector. Whatever I can do to support the government, because good governance is provided by the government and the private sector and once there is good governance, together, it affect the quality of life of all of us so it is the president who has the right and If he says that, if he says no, I don’t have any position for you, you can’t do anything,” Mr Addai-Nimoh noted.
