The Deputy International Relations Manager of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Fred Agbenyo has express worry over the current hardship in the country as well as the seeming unstable political condition within the West African sub region.

According to him, the development is giving him a hard time having some good sleep at night in recent times.

Mr Agbenyo explained Ghanaians are suffering and its neighbouring countries are also caught in political cross fires and that is what is preventing him from having a good night sleep.

The NDC politicians expressed the worry on TV3 NewDay on Tuesday, February 8, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.

We need to sit up as a nation- Fred Agbenyo

“I am not fine… I have been struggling to sleep these days. When I look around the sub region what is happening in the sub region is a boarder to me,” Mr Agbenyo said.

“When I look within the corners of the country what is happening, the hardships, the complaint, there is no way I can go to bed and sleep. You look at my eyes it is a witness. I couldn’t sleep the whole of last night. Ghanaians are suffering and there is fire in the sub region and we need to sit up as a nation. We can’t take it for granted. What is happening in Burkina Faso, what is happening in Guinea, what is happening in Mali, we can’t sit back and they complain and we will be watching. We have to sit up,” he added.

Ghana, currently finds itself in a harsh economic condition making it difficult for majority of its citizens, young people, most especially, to make ends meet.
