Vida Essel-LampteyThe Director of the Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Mr Abraham Amaliba has said only one person in the current Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led administration is performing his duties diligently.
He however, refused to name the said person who is his doing well in the government.
“There is one person who is doing well but I won’t mention his name”.
“There is only one person,” he emphasized.
Mr Amaliba made the comment on Big Issue on TV3 NewDay on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
He was reacting to the President’s response to calls to reshuffle his cabinet ministers.
I don’t have any reason to heed to the calls for reshuffling- Akufo-Addo
The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a radio interview with the Tamale based Radio North Star on Monday, August 8, 2022 as part of his tour in the Northern Region said he has no need to reshuffle his ministers since they are all up to the task.
He explained the ministers whom the public is calling for their head most of them have been with him during the difficult time in the beginning of his administration and believe they are capable.
“I know that people are making a lot of noise about this matter but several of the people who were responsible for assisting me to steer the country out of the difficulties that we inherited and out of the difficulties that will subsequently come are still in place and many of them for me have done an outstanding work. Their outputs have been considerable and that is what I look at,” President Akufo-Addo said.
“I am the final authority and if they are not up to the mark, I’m required to act. So if they are up to expectations then I don’t have any reason to heed to the calls for reshuffling,” he added.
He noted one of the reasons for the call is because the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) want to destabilized his government.
“The calls come for all kinds of reasons; NDC wanting to destabilize the government is one. There are people who are also looking for jobs,” he added.
The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is yet to reshuffle his ministers in his second term despite several all from the Ghanaian public to do so.
