The Minority Leader of Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu has reacted to the outcome of the vote of censure he led against the Minister of Finance, Mr Ken Ofori-Atta.

According to him, despite the outcome his side is a satisfied minority.

That he said was because they have done what was expected of them as a minority.

“We are a satisfied minority that at least we have done what the Ghanaian people expected to do within the limitation of our number,” he said.

Mr Iddrisu made the comment on GhanaTonight on Thursday, December 8, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.

3news.com report, the motion failed to obtain the constitutional two-thirds of membership of the House due to decision by the Majority.

“After the secret balloting, done in the absence of the Majority Members (MPs), who staged a walkout to have nothing to do with the motion, 136 NDC MPs voted while there were no abstentions nor ‘No’ votes.

“The vote is accordingly lost,” Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin stated,” 3news.com reported.

The committee was to give him a fair hearing and also respond to all allegations made against him by the Minority.
