Police invite Abronya DC over Mahama coup claims

Popular New Patriotic Party(NPP) member, Kwame Baffoe also known in the political sphere as  Abronya DC have been invited by the Ghana Police Service to assist them in investigations into his claims, the former President, John Dramani Mahama is planning a coup.

 A statement from the service dated February 15 and signed by the Director- General Public Affairs,Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Kwesi Ofori saidThe attention of the Ghana Police Service was drawn to a publication which Mr Kwame Baffoe alias Abronya DC is alleged to have said the former President John Mahama  is allegedly planning to stage a coup”.

He has therefore, been invited to report to the Regional Headquarters of the Service by 4pm today or risk being arrested.

The Accra Region Police Command has invited Mr Kwame Baffoe to report to the Regional Headquarters by 4pm today to assist with investigations failure of which he will be arrested,” the statement sighted by GhanaPlus.com said.

Mahama has connived with Al Qaeda to stage coup in Ghana – Abronye DC alleges

Abronya DC, a Bono Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) was said to have claimed on Hot 93.9FM’s political talk show “Dwene Ho Bio” that the former President, John Dramani Mahama has met the Al Qaeda militants to plot a coup in Ghana.

Hotfmghana.com reported Abronya noted the former President is in cohort with the militant Islamist organization founded by Osama bin Laden in the late 1980s to help him undertake a coup to oust the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo so he can become President again.

He made the comment while contributing to discussions on the arrest of the #FixTheCountry Convener, Oliver Barker Vomawor.

The for #FixTheCountry convener is facing criminal charges for threatening to stage a coup if the government’s proposed electronic transaction levy (e-levy) is passed.
